at last!!

Floss my teeth! Shave my legs! Dance a jig! Change my socks! After four and a half days, this last item was the one I was most excited about. My aunt may have laughed at my elated list of all the things you can do with luggage, but all of them had become of utmost importance to me. Now, as I lay here on my stomach, writing and listening to Crazy Frog and wearing all clean clothes after a shower, the world is right for me. All my small troubles and concerns pale in the face of a renewed normal life.
Today we mostly sat around waiting for our luggage to arrive. We were supposed to receive it before noon, then we were told between 4 and 6, and finally were assured our luggage by 7. We waited as morning gave way to hot, sticky afternoon. The temperature was about 96 degrees, and it was torturously humid. Ugh.
Anyway, our luggage finally arrived by 9pm, and by 10:30 we had unpacked about half of our luggage and rearranged the other half in preparation for the next day's trip to Italy. In my small carry-on bag: various and sundry items, much the same as they were on Monday, plus a change of clothes. Just in case =)

Luggage, blessed luggage. And nice to note you have learned something new -- pack a change of essential clothing.
